Today, the effects of climate change and social challenges are becoming increasingly evident. As a result, sensitivity to environmental and social issues is no longer optional—it is essential.
For the Antalya–Alanya Motorway, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was carried out following the local legislation, followed by an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) conducted in line with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Standards and the Equator Principles. Throughout this process, the environmental and social risks and impacts associated with the project were thoroughly analyzed following the rigorous criteria set by these standards.
We have developed an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) to ensure that identified risks and impacts are managed effectively. This plan is based on the principle of the risk and mitigation hierarchy—an approach aimed at preventing risks wherever possible and compensating for or offsetting unavoidable impacts. The ESMP is also a key component of the Project’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS).
You can access the project’s policies, the ESIA main report, and ESMP documents on this page.
